Days of Life

Becky Beasley’s bookwork Days Of Life was first shown at her solo show Sleep is when you grow at Skuc Gallery, Ljublana in the summer of 2015.

Her earlier large-scale photograph Fig Tree (2001, Amwell Street) 2014, is beautifully reproduced here, fragmented across nine individual pages and combined with a prose poem by the artist. The work is a reflection on the limits of language and cliche in the context of the artist’s pregnancy and birth of her first child.

Each single book edition comes in a, embossed folio handmade by Unit33 Bookbinders in Hastings.
